There are two special file-naming conventions which vary from server to server.
First,
a URL which appears to refer to a user's login
directory actually points to a specially named subdirectory
(e.g., public_html/
) of that login directory.
This provides a convenient way of keeping publicly available
Web pages separate from private files.
