The Resource Description Framework (RDF) provides a formal way of making statements (using URI's and XML) about resources.
An RDF statement is of the form
‘The thing
has a property which has a specified value’.
The thing, property and value parts
of the statement are referred
to as
the ‘subject’, ‘predicate’ and
‘object’.
