Looking at full headers

By default your e-mail software probably doesn't show you the full header of every e-mail message, but you often need to examine the full header to figure out where spam has come from. You should also include the full header when you send a complaint about spam.

Different e-mail clients offer different ways of controlling whether you see the full header or not. For example:

• Netscape: Select View Headers and choose All to view full headers.
  
• Pine: Use the H command to switch from normal headers to full headers and back again.
